Verdant

The Verdant project aims to address issues around food waste by introducing a novel food preservation and storage solution. This system, resembling a vending machine or small grocery store, will sell fresh produce in serving sizes suitable for individual consumers within walking distance. Alongside this, the Verdant app, currently in the prototyping phase, will track purchases, alert customers of food nearing expiration, and suggest healthy recipes. This combined approach seeks to decrease food waste, encourage healthy diets, and create a positive user experience through features like gamification.
