Overview
Guardian Drone is an autonomous safety system designed to enhance university campus security by augmenting existing emergency response teams with rapid, on-demand aerial support. Built on a cloud-connected architecture, the system enables real-time coordination between students and campus safety personnel, extending the reach and responsiveness of traditional security services. Through a mobile interface, students can request an on-demand drone escort while traveling across campus. Once deployed, the drone provides a visible presence with an optional spotlight for added reassurance, while simultaneously establishing a live video feed accessible to campus police. This capability enables continuous situational awareness, allowing responders to monitor conditions in real time and intervene quickly if needed, ultimately improving safety and peace of mind for students.
